Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide military, law enforcement, and outdoorsmen with the best available
equipment. The difference between our mission and that of our competitors is our committment to the person who's life depends
upon the performance of their equipment. We review and rate every product that we sell on our site. If the product fails
our stringent tests, we won't sell it. It's that simple.
The world is filled with two kinds of people.
Warriors and wannabees. Warriors know what they know from training, mistakes, and experience and wannabees know what they
know from watching too much television and believing too many stories from thier inept wannabee friends. This website is being
established by grunts for grunts because we all understand that the best solution is always based on Occams Razor which is
the scientific version of KISS. For those of you who don't habla, that means that the simplest solution will always be the
most reliable.
The founders of Gruntstore got tired of reading, watching and hearing all of the low speed, high drag wannabees pontificate
about their "systems" to improve whatever it is they are trying to sell this week. It's about time someone gave the young
private, corporal, or rookie on the street some real advice and guidance about what really does what it says it will do in
the "Real World". Every week it seems like there is a new wannabee on a tv show or magazine cover with some piece of cannon
fodder that he has designed in is garage and cliams it to be the next coming in tactical gear or close quarter battle equipment.
First, I refuse to take any advice about CQB from anyone who has never been in combat, a dozen bar fights, a prison riot,
or has fewer scars and more teeth than I do. Second,
because there are good products and bad ones and then there are good
products for the right task. We want to reward the manufacturers who make a good product and help then get their goods
into the hands of the people who protect us while we sleep.
About gruntstore testing: We will not list any item for sale on this website unless we have tested it and
found it reliable and durable under the most strenuous testing circumstances reproducable. Any piece of equipment that we
test and sell must meet pass "Murphy's" test standards. They are not fair, partial, or synthetic but they are brutal, exacting,
and fierce. We truly hold to our motto..."If we can't break it, you should buy it". Advertisers want you to buy their gear
and go to great lengths to prove to you how reliable the gear is but we think that you should know it is the very best equipment
available. Every piece of gear that we test should perform as if it were the only thing between you and a flag draped casket.
No exceptions and no excuses will be tolerated or accepted. We will test anything from a wrist watch compass to a satelite
commo set and we don't care who makes it or where it comes from. Yes, we are going to send some product manufacturers home
crying to momma, but they will either come back with better stuff or stay at home with momma where they belong. We will no
doubt make some enemies along the way but we aren't here to make friends with people who sell substandard equipment. We are
here to make sure that you, our loyal customers, get the best and don't have to find out that something doesn't work properly
when you are 10,000 miles from home in a land without email, post offices, running water and toilets that flush, surrounded
by rifle toting people with names that won't fit on a footbal jersey.
